Reverie Ketamine + Infusions

What Makes Ketamine Different?

Ketamine is a noncompetitive NMDA

receptor antagonist, and its mode of action is

completely different from commonly used

meds for depression, anxiety, and pain.

When administered, ketamine triggers a

cascading sequence of events in the brain,

interacting with glutamate, which is

associated with the brain's plasticity. This

causes changes in neurons that

modulate depression, within hours of the first

infusion.

Our goal is to reduce the rate of

suicide in Utah.

What Is Ketamine?

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic drug, originally developed for use in medical settings for anesthesia induction and maintenance. Recently there has been growing interest in its potential therapeutic effects for mental health conditions. We have seen remarkable outcomes and experienced first hand the potential of Ketamine.

In mental health treatment, ketamine is being investigated for its rapid-acting antidepressant properties, particularly in cases of treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Unlike traditional antidepressants that may take weeks to months to show effects, ketamine can produce antidepressant effects within hours to days after administration.

Our Ketamine treatments are administered intravenously (IV) in a controlled medical setting. The dosage and frequency of administration vary depending on the individual and the specific mental health condition being treated.

Ketamine is an effective and promising treatment for mood disorders. Research is ongoing and new benefits are being discovered all the time.
